OpmerkingenDaughter tracked it in and alerted me as we were sitting in yard. She saw it come in from the East and made me turn to watch it. Very bright, Very large white ball with tail. Track was about the same as south shore of Long Island moving East to West about 40 to 45 degrees above horizon. Slight downward angle. Fireball ended in a flash with no debris trails visible. Tail ended as soon as fireball exploded. As an untrained observer I would state it was very large and very bright. Much much larger and brighter by far than any of the visible stars. I estimate the end flash occurred in the Seaford - Wantaugh area off the coast. Time stated is accurate as daughter checked phone after observation.
